Bio
The Vanishing Pheasants are a folk band based in East York, Toronto comprised of 3 core members Alex Mc, Zack Elliott, and Davey White. Covering groups new and old alike, they combine elements of punk, rock, emo, and folk to contemporary classics like 'Michigan - The Milk Carton Kids' and 'Streets of Laredo - Marty Robbins'. The Pheasants also arrange and perform songs written by their members, elevating them to a new sonic place with bass, guitar, and 3-part harmonies.

The three met at an open mic in Kensington Market and decided to combine forces to form The Vanishing Pheasants after playing together in living rooms and basements over the course of a year. Their first show took place at the Tonight Live Happenings Bar in the Parkdale area of Toronto, but soon after booked a tour that brought them to Ottawa, Montreal, and Trinity Bellwoods Park in Toronto. The Vanishing Pheasants also performed as an accompanying band for Zack Elliott's solo showcase at the Folk Music Ontario 2022 conference.

The Pheasants are currently booking more shows and writing some of their first original material as a band.
